The end of the summer has (unfortunately and inevitably) arrived...and it is time to celebrate. One last hurrah before we go into hibernation for a couple of months. This Thursday, Friday and Saturday come to Climpson's Arch for the last weekend of festivities - BBQ, beverages, DJs.
It has been a cracking summer at Climpson’s Arch: by day a fully operational coffee Roastery, transformed in the evening to a fully licensed bar and BBQ. We have enjoyed warm evenings sipping on Pink Frost and When Friday Comes in our outdoor setting under the Arches.
The BBQ has been blazing and Licky Chops have showcased a repertoire of delicious food offerings - ranging from their specialty pigs head to the World Famous in Hackney burnt broccoli and mustard seeds. Other Climpson’s faves were the venison carpaccio and the onglet with chimichurri. It is easy to see why Licky Chops have been such a great addition to Climpson’s Arch.
Over the summer, we played host to some great events. Nuno and the Corner Room team took on Licky Chops in the Great London Food Fight - a two dish food slinging BBQ smack down showcasing just what amazing food you can create from an outdoor wood-fired BBQ, grills and a kitchen in a shipping container!
We celebrated the first shipment of Stone & Wood arriving to UK shores. The Pacific, light and citrusy pale ale, was a crowd favourite. The weekly Flight Club with Ruth created a stir with new and interesting wine tasting with themes such as Weird Grapes & Crazy Labels and Italy: top, middle and bottom.
So THANK YOU to all of the people that came to play over summer. We hope you have had as much fun as we have.
Dont Panic! Climpson’s Arch is not closed forever. We are refurbishing the venue, making it winter proof and installing a new roaster. Keep an eye out on our website/twitter and facebook for details on the November re-opening date.
