Climpson & Sons were proud to be the official coffee sponsors of the epic Blue Marine Foundation London to Monaco charity cycle.
The 10-day adventure provided the perfect backdrop to raise awareness and support for Blue’s projects to combat overfishing and the destruction of ocean biodiversity.
Following a critically acclaimed residency at Climpson’s Arch, it is with mixed emotions we announce that Leo, Cam and the LC crew will be finishing up at the Arch at the end of September. After their year long residency, they are now in the planning stages of opening their own restaurant.
Two weeks ago, Climpson & Sons took a trip over to Dublin for the World of Coffee Festival. As well as having our own stand, we also took the opportunity to enjoy some of the other offerings and events taking place. On the Wednesday we hosted a cupping club with Clement and Pekoe at Indigo & Cloth. It’s always great to do cuppings outside of London, as it helps to collate feedback on our coffee from new and unique perspectives. One of the most exciting parts of our trip was watching our very own Matt Randell compete in the World Aeropress Competition. Earlier in the year, Matt was crowned English Aeropress Champion, and was in Dublin for his shot at the title of World Champion.
Well, what a week! Monday saw us host our in house Climpson’s Coffee Champs at Climpson’s Arch, and Tuesday was the turn for our Wholesale Customers.
Our wholesale competition was broken down into 4 sections; an opening latte art battle, an order challenge, dialling in an espresso and a final blind cupping.
