LA MARZOCCO LINEA PB
It was time for an upgrade!
The Climpson’s Training Academy is the lucky recipient of a brand spanking-new high-gloss high-tech razzle-dazzle La Marzocco Linea PB.
Apart from those racy red buttons, and their magic milk making wands, the Linea PB is a piece of work, alright.
PB stands for Piero Bambi whom which this machine is designed by and dedicated to. Piero Bambi is the son of the founder of La Marzocco and designed the classic Linea some 25 year ago and anyone with something named after them in abbreviation form wins in our book.
Nicole and Tom met Mr PB himself: he made them an espresso at the La Marzocco Factory. Double Win.
In Tom’s eyes the PB is O for awesome.
“The PB, for me, is awesome not only in design; the sleek body is designed to aid cleaning and looks amazing! The new buttons are super responsive and simplistic but also in user control; the new software interface enables us to modulate the boiler temps, pre-wet settings and volumetrics at a very accurate and user-friendly level. The new ‘pulse’ volumetrics allows extra precision in pulling shots, as it gives us control over the shot-cycle, as well as the shot time.”
Translated: It ticks every box, and then some.
