People. Planet. Processing.

We are excited to welcome a new coffee partner into the line-up: from Ngila Estate in Tanzania, sourced through the team at Omwani Coffee Company, specialists when it comes to East African coffee.

At its core, this is about quality with intent. The variety is SL28—one of those coffees that reminds you why specialty matters. It’s expressive, fruit-forward, and full of clarity. Expect blackcurrant, honey, and dates; bright but balanced, with a velvety texture that really comes alive on filter. It’s a coffee that rewards attention.

This coffee comes from a special place. Ngila is a coffee farm and producer located in the region of Karatu and you can see exactly where it is here. Ngila sits in Karatu, spanning around 100 hectares, alongside a forest corridor that still supports wildlife migration. It’s a place where coffee production and ecosystem have to coexist—from elephants moving through to ‘smaller’ species like leopards, antelope and wild boar,  roaming the land. The nearby Ngila river supports reforestation and biodiversity, helping protect the future of the farm.

And behind it all is experience—many of the team have worked here for over 30 years, bringing care and consistency to every harvest.

For us, this is what it’s about. Coffee that tastes great—and stands for something.
