Our Brazilian coffee from Daterra Estate, brewed in a unique way to produce a strong coffee which is perfect for your coffee cocktails as a replacement of espresso, or to be diluted down to create a filter strength coffee. The Filter Concentrate is a great component with many uses. We have developed a brew to support your cocktails, coffee and even prepare you for the summer months with an easy to make cold brew. Simple and easy to pour, it saves time and creates better practicality for everyday use.


The Method

Flash chilled is different to the cold brew method in the sense we use hot water for extraction and then instantly chill down to lock in the flavour and freshness. The reason we do this is the different effect hot water has than cold water on coffee.
The perfect coffee extraction is a mixture of sour, sweet and bitter and a balance of these. Hot water is required to achieve this; it dissolves more of the coffee's volatile compounds, as a result extracting the sour and bitter notes of the coffee whereas cold brew mainly focuses on the sweet. Our coffee concentrates hovers around half the strength of espresso  and 3-4 times the strength of filter coffee.
