Introducing Climpson & Sons Midnight Oil coffee liqueur. 

A delicious, crafted and decadent liqueur this bottle forms the base of any great cocktail, as well as being delicious savoured over ice. Promising to change your perception on this classic liqueur, we’re using premium ingredients and unique brewing methods to give a modern twist on a bartender’s staple. 

 

Ingredients and Method: 

We source our coffee from all over the world, we have a plethora to choose from; for the After Hours range we've chosen a coffee from Brazil. This profile works well with stronger flavours and has a well rounded, full-bodied mouthfeel (also, Daterra Estate is considered the benchmark of sustainable coffee farming). This coffee is brewed using a flash-brew technique, brewing the coffee with hot water, then rapidly chilling it to extract and lock in all the flavour and delicate aromas you expect from an espresso. We then add cacao and bourbon vanilla from Madagascar

We had to make sure that the alcohol was as good as the coffee and that's why we’ve teamed up with our neighbours East London Liquor Company (ELLC). Another company with a similar ethos to ours; high quality, accessible and local. We use their demerara rum from Guyana to make our Midnight Oil.

30ml Midnight Oil
30ml Climpson & Sons Cold Brew (our tips on the best way to make cold brew)
25ml ELLC British wheat Vodka
5ml Simple Syrup

Shake. Strain. Serve. Simple.

Climpson & Sons Midnight Oil Negroni
(notoriously over consumed at Climpson's Arch parties)
10ml Midnight Oil
30ml ELLC Gin
20ml Campari
20ml Rosso Vermouth

Fill a short glass with ice. Add all your ingredients and stir for 1 minute. Garnish with a fresh slice of orange.

Black Russian
50ml Midnight Oil
40ml ELLC British Wheat Vodka

Serve straight over ice and stir.

Chocolate Cherry White Russian

25ml Oatly Cream
25ml Midnight Oil
5ml Demerara Syrup
2 Dashes Fee Brothers Cherry Bitters

Stir it up. Dust with Cocoa. Garnish with a Maraschino Cherry. Simple

Mikey's Espresso Martini

25ml Midnight Oil
30ml ELLC British Wheat Vodka
15ml Sugar Syrup
20ml Espresso

Shake everything over ice and strain into a martini glass. Dust cacao over the top, garnish with coffee beans and enjoy.
