Hailing from relatively unknown yet up and coming region of Intibuca, this Honduran coffee is perfect to take the place of our approachable filter offering. Across nearly all brew methods we find a smooth praline body with a subtle melon and malt caramel sweetness.

The Story

Honduras has quietly become a rising star amongst Central American coffee production. Unique soil and climate provide the basis for quality but recent improvements have been driven by producers' processing practices and access to quality assistance.

San Lorenzo is set in the little known region of Intibuca where producer Wilfredo Sanchez has partnered with other small producers in joining a regional quality improvement programme. The quality of coffee and production yields have already increased highlighting an exciting future ahead.

The Details

This coffee comes from producer Wilfredo Sanchez. A very small producer with less than 8 hectares, Senor Sanchez processes his own coffee with a small de-pulper and then dries on raised beds (much more effective and consistent than patio drying). His quality is improving every year having already placed 14th in the 2016 Honduras Cup of Excellence.
