As the weather heats up, the coffees get cooler. Enjoying Climpson’s on ice has never been easier with our Coffee Concentrate. Instant expertise, this 1 litre bottle of Daterra’s sustainably produced coffee, The Baron, has been brewed to perfection at our roastery. Typically deep Brazilian notes of dark chocolate and hazelnuts and an espresso roast profile make this an excellent pairing for any of your favourite ice cold coffee recipes where you would typically use a fresh shot of espresso.

Don’t get us wrong, we still love to get the pouring kettle out for a delicate iced pour-over or an overnight cold brew, but we also love the option to whip up an iced coffee in seconds, without the need for any brewing equipment at home.

Here’s our go-to iced coffee recipes to keep you cool in a flash, all using Climpson & Sons Coffee Concentrate.

1. Iced Americano

Fill your cup with ice and add as much or little water as you like to dilute to your preferred strength. Top with 80ml Coffee Concentrate. Sip to taste and enjoy. Simple.

2. Iced Latte

The Broadway Market iced drink of choice. Who doesn’t love an iced latte on a scorching hot day? Fill your cup with ice and milk of your choice. Top with 80ml Coffee Concentrate. If you like it sweet, whip up a simple syrup using equal parts sugar and hot water and add to taste.

3. Espresso Tonic

For those that like to enjoy an iced drink with a little zing to it. Fill your cup with ice and add your choice of tonic water. Top with 80ml Coffee Concentrate and a good squeeze of fresh lime to balance out the sweetness. Pure refreshment.

4. Dirty Chai

Love a Chai Latte? Make it dirty with a touch of Coffee Concentrate. We use Prana Chai’s original sticky blend made with a decadent spice mix of honey, cinnamon, star anise, cloves and ginger. Make a simple concentrate using 2-3 heaped spoonfuls of Prana Chai and 50ml hot water, let it seep for 3 minutes before straining into a cup loaded with ice and your choice of milk. Top with 40ml Coffee Concentrate for a caffeine kick and top with a light sprinkle of cinnamon.

Try Prana Chai Turmeric Blend for something a little earthier.

5. Iced Mocha

Coffee and chocolate, on ice. This drink is basically a dessert, and the perfect easy afternoon sipper. We use Mofu Deluxe Drinking Chocolate, Ghanaian cocoa blended with organically produced coconut blossom sugar. Make a quick paste, using 2-3 heaped spoons of cocoa and a little hot water. Add 80ml Coffee Concentrate to the paste and give it a stir to make your mocha mix. Add this to a cup filled with ice and milk of your choice.

We’ve been using an 80ml serve of Coffee Concentrate to create the strength and balance of a double shot espresso but you can experiment with ratio to make an iced drink to just the taste you like. Give it a try. Stock your fridge with a bottle of Climpson & Sons Coffee Concentrate here.
