For our neighbourhood's spring blend we are working with two of our favourite coffees produced by communities equally focused on quality and sustainability.

The Brazil side of this blend is a regular Climpson classic and comes from our friend Bruno de Souza, a true pioneer of Brazilian specialty coffee.
Bruno is a fourth-generation coffee producer and follows in his father's footsteps in championing the potential of high-quality Brazilian coffees. Situated near Campos Altos in the Cerrado Mineiro region, his farm, Fazenda Esperança is seen as an industry innovator in pushing forward separation of specific varieties and improving processing standards. This lot is a prime example of this innovation with Bruno separating this Catuai variety. Dried as a natural process this makes for a concentrated and sweet espresso base.

Joining this is another returning favourite from Finca El Carrizal, located in Guatemala's Jalapa department. Here producer Carlos Duran Matias manages the family farm with 31 hectares of coffee inter-cropped with fruit and native hardwood trees. The size of the farm allows for their own wet mill to carefully oversee the washed processing themselves, ensuring quality from cherry selection through to drying. This attention to detail is evident in the cup, adding a layer of crisp acidity and creamy sweetness.
