Job role: Content Creator
Climpson & Sons is a B Corp Certified, award-winning specialty coffee company rooted in East London. From our beginnings as a Broadway Market stall in 2002, we’ve grown into a roastery, café, training academy, and hub for innovation in coffee and drinks.
We’re passionate about sustainability, community, and creativity – values that shine through in everything we do, from sourcing traceable specialty coffee to crafting our Midnight Oil coffee liqueurs.
Now we’re looking for a Part-Time Content Creator to help us share our story. You will create and coordinate content and be the voice of Climpsons. This isn’t just about polished campaigns — it’s about creativity, community, and curiosity. If you’re passionate about coffee, love telling stories, and have a can-do attitude, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll also help shape the voice of our sister brand, Midnight Oil Drinks, bringing ideas to life across social, digital, and written content.
What You’ll Do
-
Create and coordinate content across social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.)
-
Be the voice of Climpson & Sons and Midnight Oil Drinks
-
Capture and edit photos and short videos for web, social, and campaigns.
-
Design creative assets using Canva (and other tools) to bring ideas and campaigns to life
-
Write blog posts, newsletters to share our stories with our audiences
-
Write press releases for Climpsons & Midnight Oil.
-
Support collaborations and partnerships
-
Collaborate with our team on campaigns, launches and content
-
Support with events, including coverage and content creation (cupping clubs, industry events, launches)
-
Track how content is performing and suggest ways to improve it.
-
Stay curious about new trends, platforms, and ways to connect with our community.
-
Contribute fresh creative ideas to connect with our community, campaigns and launches
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
-
Cares about coffee and community
-
Has experience working in specialty coffee (or a deep passion for it)
-
Ideally you have some industry knowledge: you know the specialty coffee landscape, from producers to cafés to bars, and stay up to date with the industry and trends
-
Has excellent copywriting skills and loves storytelling (in words and images)
-
Has hands on experience and familiarity with social media - planning posting and reporting
-
Has a strong visual eye, ideally with some experience in photography and Canva (or equivalent design tool).
-
Is organised, proactive, and willing to roll up their sleeves.
-
Enjoys collaborating but can also run with their own ideas.
-
Wants to grow their skills and isn’t afraid to try new things.
-
Is fluent in written and spoken English
-
Bonus: background in PR, community building, or event coverage
Nice to Have:
-
Coffee knowledge and preparation skills
-
Experience writing blogs, newsletters, or press releases and SEO
-
Basic photography and video editing skills
-
Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social insights)
