Climpson's Arch, also home to Climpson & Sons Coffee Roastery & Cafe, offers a platform for chefs and rising stars of the food world to cook and perform at our venue. With the departure of Som Saa in mid-October we are thrilled to announce the next Resident Chef.
Climpson’s Arch is very excited to announce that Leandro Carreira will be taking the helm of the Arch restaurant residency as L.C. @ Climpson's Arch.
From a pool of talented chefs all wishing to go on their own, and after much deliberation from over 20 reputable applicants, multiple tastings and an exceptional standard of food, we have chosen Leandro to take the baton (or in this case the coal shovel) from som saa.
Leandro was chosen for his amazing cooking and his residency here is a must for any self-respecting foodies who share his appetite for creativity and a unique approach to cooking.
His passion for food has taken him on a journey around the world via the Michelin-starred kitchens of Viajante and Mugaritz and collaborations with James Lowe of Lyle’s and Junya Yamasaki formerly of Koya. At Climpson’s Arch he wants to take a more simple approach, cooking food closer to his home and his heart, with a strong pull towards his Portuguese roots. Expect dishes like “Bacalhau de Fernanda”, Leandro’s mother’s recipe and pork ribs with offal rice.
“It’s all about everyday food that I love to eat.”
Leandro has been looking to open his own restaurant for a while and the Arch will give him free rein to showcase his food, acting as a stepping stone to cement his already well regarded reputation.
First service: Friday 30 October
Dinner: 6pm-late Thurs- Sunday
